Job Description

Senior LSAF Programmer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior LSAF Programmer to provide technical leadership and hands-on support for the SAS Life Science Analytics Framework (LSAF).The role focuses on writing & updating global programs (cross trial programs), troubleshooting complex data flow issues, maintaining global SAS frameworks used across multiple clinical studies, and supporting validated GxP-regulated environments.

A seasoned LSAF expert with deep SAS programming expertise who can independently diagnose and resolve complex data flow issues, maintain global clinical data frameworks, understand end-to-end clinical data transformations and lineage, and support validation, testing, and implementation activities in a GxP-compliant environmenKey Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SAS programs, utilities, and frameworks within LSAF.
  • Investigate and resolve complex data flow, transformation, and processing issues.
  • Support global programs and shared frameworks used across multiple clinical studies.
  • Analyze and maintain clinical data transformations, derivations, lineage, and data provenance processes.
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability from source data through SDTM, reporting, and downstream consumption.
  • Support GxP validation activities, including documentation, SIT, UAT, implementation, and release activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis, code reviews, and continuous improvement of existing solutions.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and collaborate with Clinical Programming, Data Management, Quality, and IT teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience with SAS Life Science Analytics Framework (LSAF).
  • Proven SAS programming experience in a clinical research environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SAS-based systems and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of clinical data transformations, derivations, data lineage, and data provenance.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex data pipelines and cross-study data flows.
  • Working knowledge of CDISC SDTM standards.
  • Experience within Pharmaceutical R&D and clinical studies.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, change management, and system validation processes.
  • Experience supporting GxP-regulated systems and computerized system validation activities.
  • Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, and production implementations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
