Enterprise Application Services (EAS) practice of STL Digital is building an

ecosystem of industry players with market leading SaaS players, hyperscalers,

collaborative start-ups and ERP providers to engineer an intelligent enterprise

and enable each to differentiate and position for growth in the marketplace.

We are accelerating the customer's journey to the Intelligent & Sustainable

Enterprise. We use these principles to evaluate services and solutions for

customer's business transformation.

The SAP MM + MDM Lead will be responsible for managing and optimizing the

Material Management (MM) module in SAP and overseeing the Master Data

Management (MDM) function across business units. This role ensures data

integrity, standardized processes, and efficient integration between SAP and

related business applications. The position requires a strong understanding of

procurement, inventory management, and master data governance processes.

What the role entails (Key Responsibilities)

This position is an Expert Level IT professional in STL Digital's Enterprise

Application Service organization.

1. Conduct detailed analysis of complex business processes and translate them

into effective SAP MM/MDM system solutions.

2. Identify, interpret, validate, and document business requirements through

structured workshops and stakeholder discussions.

3. Map client business processes and objectives, designing and customizing

system configurations or enhancements to meet specific operational needs.

4. Design, configure, test, and deploy SAP MM and MDM solutions, ensuring full

process coverage across procurement, inventory, and material lifecycle

management.

5. Act as the primary liaison with clients and cross-functional teams for issue

investigation, analysis, and resolution, including handling high-priority

change or emergency transports.

6. Develop and maintain functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and

validation reports.

7. Perform unit, integration, and regression testing, coordinating with business

users for UAT and production transport activities.

8. Proactively identify and implement process or system enhancements to

improve efficiency and control.

9. Provide consulting support for new implementations, rollouts, and ongoing

support initiatives.

10. Independently manage deliverables, guide junior consultants, and act as a

subject matter mentor within the team.

Core Functional Expertise

1. Material Management (MM) & Master Data Management (MDM): Expertise in

Material Master, Vendor Master, Source Lists, Purchase Info Records, Release

Strategies, Valuation, and Account Determination.

2. Procurement & Inventory Management: Strong exposure to Purchase

Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts/Issues, Stock Transfers,

Subcontracting, Consignment, and Return processes.

3. Experience in Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA), Scheduling

Agreements, Outline Agreements, and Automatic Replenishment processes.

4. Integration with MES, PLM, LMS, and Product Design Tools, ensuring

seamless synchronization of material and process data.

5. Sound knowledge of SAP data structures and key tables (MARA, MARC,

MBEW, EINA, EINE, EKKO, EKPO, MSEG, MKPF).

Technical and Integration Competencies

1. Strong working knowledge of BAPI, BADI, User Exits, and IDoc enhancements

for process automation and system extensions.

2. Experience in mass data management, migration, and cleansing using

LSMW, BDC, and BAPIs.

3. Integration expertise with SAP PP, FI/CO, and third-party systems such as

WMS, MES, Salesforce/CRM, and other legacy platforms.

4. Hands-on with EDI, ALE, and IDoc implementations and enhancements for

system-to-system integration.

5. Experience working with CDS Views (Master & Transactional) for S/4HANA

Embedded Analytics.

Project & Delivery Management

1. Collaborate with project managers to plan, execute, test, pilot, and roll

out SAP MM/MDM solutions.

2. Build and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring the right

technical and functional expertise for project success.

3. Monitor project progress, quality, and timelines, ensuring on-time and

within-budget delivery.

4. Maintain compliance with organizational process standards, best practices,

and documentation protocols.

5. Facilitate discovery sessions, design (Explore) workshops, and planning

sessions with business and IT stakeholders.

6. Present and demonstrate system solutions to stakeholders across all levels,

including leadership teams.

7. Ensure continuous collaboration, clear communication, and alignment

across all project stakeholders.

Experience & Education Qualifications

BE / B.Tech with 10+ years of SAP/ERP work experience in MM & MDM

Module

Domain expertise across SAP PMM/MDM, integration with PP, SD, FI/CO and

other SAP Modules, MES and Quality Management System on SAP ECC & S4

HANA environment.
