Job Title: Tech Lead - Python UI GCP

Experience Level

8+ years experience

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Engineer (Tech Lead - Python UI GCP), you will:

  • Full-Stack Development Leadership: Be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the entire project, encompassing frontend (Angular), API, and backend (Python), including any necessary tools.
  • Technical Design & Standards: Develop technical standards, define criteria for deliverables, and establish test strategies.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Handle client calls and presentations as needed, demonstrating very good communication skills. Collaborate effectively with engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Metrics & Optimization: Work with teams and leadership to develop meaningful metrics for project success and continuous improvement.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior developers, guiding their technical growth and contribution.
  • Problem Solving: Apply excellent analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills to address complex technical challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teams and leadership, adapting to a co-location model with developers for offline sessions with technical consultants.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Technical Proficiency:

  • Python:8+ years experience with hands-on knowledge of core Python.
  • Frontend Development: Experience with Angular for frontend development.
  • Cloud Platform: Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and other cloud technologies.
  • Operating Systems: Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Data Formats: Moderate to focused experience using SQL, JSON, XML.
  • API & Backend Development: Proven experience in designing and developing APIs and backend services.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack projects.
  • Experience in developing standards and defining criteria for deliverables and test strategies.
  • Proven ability to work with teams and leadership to develop meaningful metrics.
  • Experience in mentoring junior developers.

Essential Professional Skills

  • Very good communication skills, including handling client calls and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and learn new technologies effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
