Job Description

We seek a Tech Lead to join Loco's engineering organisation. As a hands-on technical leader, you will own the end-to-end design and development of many scalable backend web applications that drive user growth and revenue across multiple international markets, apart from driving your POD's objectives aligned with product goals. Your design, architecture, and development expertise will help us scale our technology, which powers industry-defining backend applications that cater to millions of users and live streamers worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and cloud technologies.

Requirements

Overall 7-9 years of experience in building scalable web applications on the cloud, and at least one year of experience driving technical initiatives as a technical lead.
Recent 2-3 years of experience building large-scale web applications capable of handling 1000s of TPS, with Golang, NodeJS, or Python.
Proven experience in building fault-tolerant backend applications using distributed and microservices patterns and significant depth in asynchronous web application frameworks in Python or Golang.
Strong understanding of SQL databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like Cassandra, ScyllaDB, MongoDB, or CouchDB.
Experience with message brokers, caching, and search technologies like Kafka/Pulsar, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
Experience with API integrations and in-depth understanding of OAuth 2.0 SSO and OIDC.
Strong understanding of core Computer Science concepts, Linux, networking, data structures, and algorithms.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Bonus Points For

Experience with OTT, live streaming technologies, and protocols.
