  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own and drive the technology roadmap, aligning it with Parinaam's programme goals and organisational priorities.
  • Co-develop the annual technology plan and budget with the COO; present quarterly updates to leadership.
  • Identify and evaluate new technology initiatives and tools that can drive impact and operational efficiency.
  • Report progress to the COO on a weekly basis (initially), moving to monthly as responsibilities are established.

Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Cloud

  • Own server management, network configuration, cybersecurity, cloud backup, and IT compliance.
  • Ensure all systems, data, and infrastructure are secure, regularly backed up, and compliant with applicable standards.
  • Oversee IT support and troubleshooting, directing the MIS Analyst on day-to-day infrastructure monitoring.
  • Maintain asset register and license inventory for all software and hardware.

Vendor Management & Product Development

  • Manage all vendor relationships (E2E, hosting, domain, and others), including contract negotiation, performance reviews, and escalations.
  • Drive product development lifecycle: requirements gathering, testing, UAT, deployment, and documentation.
  • Lead application testing, user training, and creation of SOPs and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with the COO on key vendor meetings and technology reviews, particularly during the first 6 months.

Reporting, Impact Verification & Data Quality

  • Own the reporting and impact verification function: ensure all data reports, programme dashboards, and strategic reports produced by departments (including those generated via Claude) are verified and accurate before reaching leadership.
  • Direct the MIS Analyst on building and maintaining data records, data pipelines, and quality-assurance checklists.
  • Cross-check and validate impact reports, strategic data outputs, and AI-generated reports before they are shared with leadership or external stakeholders.

Team Management & Capacity Building

  • Directly manage and mentor the MIS Analyst and Tech Consultant, providing clear priorities, regular check-ins, and performance feedback.
  • Direct the Tech Consultant on automation and AI tool priorities; ensure no infrastructure tasks are assigned to the Consultant.
  • Build internal digital capability by training programme teams on technology tools, AI platforms, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Fractional CTO on complex technical decisions and participate in strategic technology reviews.
  • QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant certifications in infrastructure, cloud, or cybersecurity (e.g., AWS, Azure, CISSP) are an advantage.

Experience

  • 5–8 years in technology management, with hands-on experience in infrastructure, product development, and vendor management.
  • Experience working in an NGO, social sector organisation, or mid-size enterprise strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing small teams, vendor contracts, and technology budgets.
  • Familiarity with data platforms, MIS systems, dashboards, and programme reporting frameworks.
  • Exposure to AI/automation tools and deployment (e.g., Claude, google scripts, Jira, N8N, Deluge script) is a plus.
  • SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Strong infrastructure skills: server management, network configuration, cybersecurity, and cloud/backup architecture.
  • Player-coach mindset: ability to set strategy and simultaneously execute at the ground level.
  • Strong vendor negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with product management: requirements gathering, UAT, and deployment workflows.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Experience writing SOPs, technical documentation, and user guides.
  • High ownership orientation with the ability to manage multiple workstreams with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a mission-driven, fast-paced environment and build trust with non-technical stakeholders.
