Role Summary
Looking for a
Senior / Lead AWS Data Engineer who can work as a
hands-on individual contributor and technical lead, owning data platform development end-to-end on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions
- Develop data lake / lakehouse solutions using S3, Redshift, Lake Formation
- Implement ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality checks, and validations
- Automate workflows and set up CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines using CloudWatch
- Work closely with stakeholders and drive end-to-end delivery
- Provide technical guidance and mentor team members
Required Skills
- Strong experience with AWS (Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Redshift, Lake Formation)
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL
- Experience building data pipelines and data platforms
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data quality frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD and monitoring tools
- Strong communication and ownership mindset
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Amazon Q)
Good to Have
- Exposure to SageMaker / data workflows on AWS
- Basic understanding of ML/AI pipelines or generative AI concepts
Certifications (Preferred)
- AWS Certified Data Engineer / Data Analytics
- AWS Solutions Architect
