SectionTear Down & Should cost Senior Engineer (5–6 yrs)Role PurposeIndependently execute teardown and costing assignments; develop structured BOMs and robust bottom-up should-cost models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product teardown (mechanical/electrical assemblies)
- Develop detailed multi-level BOM with process mapping
- Build bottom-up should-cost models (material, conversion, overhead, margin)
- Conduct supplier benchmarking & RFQ analysis
- Identify cost drivers & savings levers
- Guide junior analysts Core Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel & cost modeling
- Strong manufacturing process expertise (casting, machining, molding, fabrication, electronics assembly, etc.)
- Technical drawing interpretation (GD&T basics)
- Cost structure breakdown expertise Tools & SoftwareAdvanced Excel, Power BI (preferred), ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle), Advance CAD Deliverables
