SectionTear Down & Should cost Lead Engineer (810 yrs)Role PurposeDrive Quest team, project lead-time adherence, and team productivity. Lead teardown & should-costing programs; validate cost models; review and drive cost-optimization strategy; and engage stakeholders and also Execute task based activities .
Key Responsibilities
- Own multiple teardown & costing workstreams
- Review & validate complex cost models
- Drive Design-to-Value (DtV) & VA/VE initiatives
- Lead client/stakeholder discussions
- Develop standardized costing frameworks
- Support negotiation analytics & savings validation
- Team supervision & quality governance Core Technical Skills
- Expert in bottom-up should costing
- Cross-commodity / cross-industry manufacturing expertise
- Strong financial acumen (CAPEX/OPEX, overhead allocation, depreciation)
- Commercial negotiation & supplier strategy support capability Tools & SoftwareAdvanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau, ERP/PLM tools, Cost databases, Advanced CAD- Mentor level Deliverables
