Job responsibility
- Familiarity with Passive Optical Network (PON) architecture and its components, such as optical splitters and fiber optic cables
- DSLM, GPON and ONT alarm monitoring and escalation to concern team.
- Provisioning of OLT, ONT and DSLAM, migration of services from DLLAM to GPON, TX to GPON and upgradation of enterprise services over GPON etc
- Familiarity with DSLAM, AAA, BRAS, SBC and ISP and interdomain demarcation of faults and able to diagnose the fault related to internet browsing, slow speed, Call disconnect, and voice issues.
- Testing of new enterprise services, demarcation of ODN path and optimization of BW in Backhaul media as well as in PON level
- Understanding of PON feasibility and trigger to Planning team if Utilization goes beyond >70% for PON & Uplink ports
- Key Responsibilities include: -
Monitoring of DSLAM, GPON alarms, escalation to stakeholders for speedy restoration, provision of enterprises services in GPON and DSLAM NMS. Testing and AT with field team for new deployment. Technical support to field team for reduction of repetitive faults and corrective actions. Ensure of regular backup of OLT & ONTs. Also upgrade the latest software version as per vendor sw release. Proactive monitoring of Uplink and PON port utilizations
- Responsible for 24*7 Post execution support for maintaining the availability of the Broadband/GPON Network, its various elements and services riding on the network. Incumbent would be working in shift handling various network incidents, mitigating and restoring the same. Incumbent would work for supporting various enterprise services like Voice, data ILL, MPLS, DLC & NPLC
- As a member of Service Assurance resolution of faults at lightening speeds and steering network away from faults would be the prime focus. Handling the escalation and leading the shift operation.
- Candidates should possess good communication skills.
- Candidates should possess technical skills in VOIP, PSTN & IP telephony.
- Knowledge of UCAAS/UCC will have added advantages.
- Relevant certifications will add to the advantage.
- Candidates should be open for shift work, including nights and weekends.

Skills
- Over 3 to 7+ years of experience in data Voice, Broadband & GPON domain
- Strong understanding of project management, customer service, and basic technical knowledge voice, data & IP network.
- DSL, AAA, BRAS, ILL, MPLS, OLT, PON, PON protection & ONT and Enterprise services running over GPON.
- Tejas OLT, GNX , Tejas , Nokia Syrotech ONT, Huawei, Nokia , Cisco, Series routers and switches.ECI, VDSL, Zyxel DSLAM Maipu, Prima & UT Switch/Server. Knowledge of Transport networks and WAN troubleshooting.
