Job Summary:
Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited is looking for an eager-to-learn individual to join Compliance Advisory team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in banking and regulatory environment. You will be exposed to a variety of tasks including advisory on Consumer Bank related matters, assistance with RBI Audit and compliance monitoring activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Articulate the Regulatory Compliance requirement and ensuring implementation of RBI regulations in the Bank.
- Support the Lead Compliance in providing compliance advise to the Business Groups (mainly Consumer Bank) to maintain an effective control framework and to ensure compliance with all relevant RBI regulations, internal codes and policies.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to Business Groups in areas relating to Financial Crime Compliance related matters.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to Business Groups in relation to Branch operational activities in jurisdictions outside India and third party product distribution.
- Support the Lead Compliance in Product Governance, including new product / process approvals and conducting post implementation reviews.
- Reviewing Policies, processes and notes, and providing feedbacks and advice to ensure the bank processes are comprehensive and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
- Where called upon, to carry out testing and monitoring of regulatory risk areas to ensure compliance with RBI guidelines.
- Getting involved in implementation of new circulars on all Consumer Bank related matters.
- Assisting the team during the time of RBI Audit by co-ordinating and collaborating with stakeholders to provide information and details requested by RBI.
- Providing support for departmental activities such as Compliance Risk Assessment, Reporting, preparation of manuals etc.
- Review of marketing material from the perspective of regular compliance.
- Engage with regulators as and when required, to obtain clarity on the regulations and vetting of communications.
Requirements:
- Graduate with 10+ years of work experience in banking / financial services / securities in the Compliance team or in an assurance role with particular focus on regulatory compliance. Additional qualifications i.e. CA, MBA is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the local regulatory landscape comprising RBI regulations. Exposure to other regulations e.g. Insurance, Mutual Funds, NPCI, Capital Markets etc. is a plus.
- Chartered Accountant or Master of Business Administration (MBA) with minimum 3 years of experience in compliance team of the Bank.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with experience of dealing with the executives at all times.
- Applies knowledge of regulations to influence monitoring/testing review scope.
- Proficient in MS office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
