Job Description

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to collate business data from various sources on a periodic basis and maintain data sanctity while analyzing it to prepare analysis for BSLAMC Mutual Fund and Alternate asset (Portfolio Management, Real Estate and Offshore) performance vis--vis competitor's performance on key business parameters.

This role will also assist in the business planning process by providing various analysis pertaining branches, Products and channels and prepare reports for senior level business reviews.

Job Context

Collating business performance data related to BSLAMC Mutual Fund and alternate asset business and its competitors from various sources like CAMS,SEBI and AMFI while maintaining data sanctity

Providing analysis related key business parameters like (e.g. AUM, Market share, Channel and Branch performance ) which will provide management current business trends for decision making

Providing comprehensive competitor analysis in terms monthly/quarterly product wise, location wise, investor segment wise market share etc.

Assist in Business Planning Process and quarterly reviews by providing relevant analysis.

Track variable pay metric of organisation and monitor reward and recognition contest for sales personnel and distributors

Key Challenges For The Role Are As Follows

Understanding dynamic business environment and providing relevant business performance analysis to senior management which support them in decision making.

Manual preparation of reports are time consuming and prone to errors.

Continuous co-ordination with senior management and sales personnel to understand their requirement and making them available the analysis as they require.

Reliability and validity of data obtained from CAMS and other sources and time utilized for collation and consolidation of such data

Limited availability of peer data due to confidentiality

Decentralisation of MIS at Zonal & Regional level

Key Result Areas

KRA1 Business Data Collection and Co ordination Download data related to competitors and total industry from various sources like CAMS, MFI,SEBI and AMFI on a periodic basis

Closely coordinate with CAMS to carry out monthly data download activity on time and obtain specific reports and information.

Maintain data sanctity at all times and ensure that correct data is collated at regular intervals for the monthly reporting activity and avoid any data discrepancies

KRA2 Business Intelligence and Reporting Define and agree on various key parameters to review business performance like AUM, Market Share, Channel Performance, Competitor Performance

Prepare and circulate to senior management comprehensive analysis of BSLAMC consisting of quartile reporting, trends movements, commentaries and key data points including zonal, regional and branch performance reports

Analyze business data and prepare reports with data cuts for branch level performance linked to channels, investors and products including

Prepare reports and data for quarterly business reviews for Chairman's Office, ABFSG CEO, BSLAMC CEO level that covers updates related to business performance and key initiatives

KRA3 Competition Analysis Conduct monthly/quarterly competitor analysis and prepare report with key highlights on product wise/investor segment wise/location wise AUM and Net Sales market share for ABFSG CEO, BSLAMC CEO and Senior Management.

KRA4 Assist in Business Planning Process Collate business performance data of the current year and analyze information required to prepare next year's business plans

Prepare a comprehensive presentation that covers key business parameters like AUM, market Share, Product Channel and branch performance etc.

Prepare business projections for senior management to take key business decisions linked to changes in the market conditions & underlying assumptions

KRA5 Variable Pay Metrics and Reward and Recognition Contest Track Achievement of various rewards and recognition contests run for sales personnel and distributor in order to improve business performance

Continuously monitor business performance part of variable Pay metrics of BSLAMC and various function and report target vs. achievement
