Team Manager -Payroll, HR Operations & Compliance

About The Role

We are looking for a Payroll, HR Operations & Compliance role at FundsIndia, Bangalore who manages end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS), and core HR Ops like onboarding, exists, and attendance/leave. Requires hands-on experience with payroll system , labour law compliance, and audits, plus strong attention to detail with sensitive employee data.

Must Have (Skills/Exposures)

● Strong, hands-on payroll processing expertise on HRMS/payroll platforms.

● Strong knowledge of employee taxation - income tax computation, TDS on salary, tax regime comparisons, Form

16/24Q, investment declarations and proof.

● Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance - PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, Gratuity, Bonus Act.

● Advanced Excel for payroll reconciliation and reporting.

● Comfortable with statutory filings, returns, and coordinating external audits/inspections.

What You Will Own

● End-to-end payroll processing, ensuring 100% accuracy and statutory timelines.

● Payroll compliance - PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS on salary, Gratuity, Bonus Act.

● Payroll reconciliation - cost center mapping, GL entries, monthly payroll MIS and variance reporting

● Automation and process improvement across payroll and HR Ops workflows.

● HR Ops processes - onboarding, F&F settlement, HRMS data integrity, employee lifecycle documentation.

● Statutory and internal payroll audits, ensuring timely closure of compliance observations.

Is This You

● 5 years of total experience, majority of it in payroll processing

● Currently an individual contributor or early people-manager in payroll/HR Ops

● From a mid-size to large organization with structured, compliance-heavy payroll (BFSI/fintech preferred)

● Comfortable owning statutory deadlines and audit cycles independently.

● Some exposure to broader HR Ops and compliance, open to growing into it.

● Process-driven, detail-oriented, with low error tolerance for payroll accuracy
