Job Title: Team Manager – GenAI automation support
Job Location: Chennai
This role is responsible for leading, scaling, and operationalizing two specialist teams supporting HappyRobots conversational AI and Agentic AI + UiPath automation platforms.
The role ensures reliable configuration, production support, governance, and continuous improvement of low‑code/no‑code AI and automation solutions, aligned to BUIT priorities, enterprise standards, and Responsible AI principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Scaling
- Build, lead, and scale teams supporting:
- HappyRobots conversational AI configuration & operations
- Agentic AI + UiPath automation configuration & maintenance
- Define role charters, skill mix, onboarding plans, and capacity models.
- Coach teams on best practices for AI configuration, operations, and support.
Delivery & Operations Management
- Own end‑to‑end delivery for configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Ensure SLAs for availability, performance, incident response, and hypercare.
- Balance demand intake, prioritization, and workload across both platforms.
Governance, Risk & Responsible AI
- Ensure adherence to:
- Responsible AI and ethical AI standards
- Audit, logging, and traceability requirements
- Data privacy and security controls
- Establish guardrails for autonomous and conversational AI systems.
- Act as escalation point for AI risk, failures, or unexpected behavior.
Platform & Capability Growth
- Drive continuous improvement in:
- Configuration standards
- Reusable patterns and templates
- Cost optimization and performance tuning
- Partner with BUIT, Product, and Architecture teams on platform roadmap alignment.
- Track platform upgrades, dependency management, and lifecycle planning.
Stakeholder & Financial Management
- Serve as primary operational interface to BUIT and business stakeholders.
- Provide clear reporting on:
- Capacity, throughput, and value delivered
- Cost drivers (AI usage, licenses, infrastructure)
- Risks and improvement opportunities
Required Qualification & Skills:- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of team management experience in the relevant domain
- 8-12+ years in Intelligent Automation, AI Operations, or Platform Engineering.
- Proven experience managing UiPath and AI‑based automation teams.
- Exposure to Agentic AI, conversational AI, or autonomous system operations.
- Strong understanding of:
- UiPath ecosystem (Studio, Orchestrator, REFramework)
- Conversational AI and workflow‑based AI platforms
- Agentic AI concepts (autonomy, orchestration, guardrails)
- Familiarity with AI governance, Responsible AI, and compliance controls.
- Strong people leadership and scaling capability.
- Ability to operate in high‑ambiguity, fast‑evolving AI environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.
- Metrics‑driven approach to delivery, quality, and cost control.
