About the Role
We are hiring an Associate Manager – US Payroll to lead payroll operations for a large US-based workforce within a high-performance shared services environment.
This is a leadership role where you will not only manage payroll execution but also drive process improvements, system integration, and operational efficiency across platforms like Workday and ADP.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a dedicated US Payroll team, driving performance and accountability
- Manage end-to-end US payroll cycles, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance
- Oversee tax filings and payroll disbursements using ADP
- Ensure adherence to US federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex payroll queries and issues
- Manage high-priority cases through tools like Zendesk, ensuring SLA adherence
- Handle Workday–ADP integration, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy
- Conduct payroll audits and eliminate data discrepancies and manual errors
- Identify process gaps and drive automation and optimization initiatives
Key Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in US Payroll, preferably in a BPO/Shared Services environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday (Core HR) and ADP Payroll
- In-depth knowledge of US payroll compliance and multi-state taxation
- Experience managing team operations and payroll escalations
- Exposure to ticketing/case management tools (e.g., Zendesk)
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, or related field
