Telesales Manager B2B (Solar Industry)
Job Summary:
The Candidate will lead team and drive B2B sales for solar solutions by managing a team of telesales executives focused on generating and converting leads from commercial and industrial clients. This role requires strong expertise in consultative selling, pipeline management, and understanding of solar products such as rooftop systems, EPC solutions, and energy savings models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Hire, train, and manage a telesales team focused on B2B clients (SMEs, commercial, and industrial sectors). Drive performance through continuous coaching and motivation.
- B2B Lead Generation & Conversion:
- Oversee outbound calling campaigns to generate qualified leads for solar rooftop and EPC projects. Ensure high conversion rates from lead to site visit/closure.
- Sales Strategy (Solar Focus):
- Develop targeted telesales strategies for different segments (factories, warehouses, commercial buildings, institutions). Create effective pitch scripts highlighting ROI, cost savings, and sustainability benefits.
- Pipeline & CRM Management:
- Monitor lead funnel, follow-ups, and closures through CRM. Ensure accurate tracking of prospects, proposals, and deal stages.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track KPIs such as call volume, lead conversion ratio, appointment generation, and revenue contribution. Conduct daily/weekly reviews.
- Client Engagement:
- Support the team in handling key accounts, high-value prospects, and escalations. Build strong relationships with decision-makers (owners, facility heads, procurement teams).
- Coordination with Field Sales & Technical Teams:
- Align telesales efforts with on-ground sales teams for site surveys, proposals, and project closures.
- Market Awareness:
- Stay updated on solar industry trends, government policies, subsidies, and competitor offerings to refine sales approach.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 48 years in telesales/B2B sales, preferably in solar, renewable energy, EPC, or industrial products; with 13 years in a team handling role.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of solar rooftop systems, net metering, and energy cost savings models is highly preferred.
- Communication & Negotiation:
- Strong ability to pitch technical/financial benefits of solar solutions to business clients.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and scale telesales teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with CRM tools, MS Excel (reporting & pipeline tracking), and sales dashboards.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
