Job Description Team Leader Logistics

Role Summary
The Team Leader Logistics is responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics and stores operations at Endress+Hauser Wetzer (India) Pvt. Ltd. The role ensures smooth inbound and outbound material flow, adherence to statutory requirements, accurate inventory management, and on-time delivery performance. The position requires strong coordination with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics partners, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Logistics & Material Receiving
- Oversee receiving of incoming materials with complete documentation and system posting.
- Coordinate with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and CHAs for efficient import clearance.
- Ensure correct handling, segregation, and processing of supplier rejections.
- Production Logistics & Material Handling
- Plan and support timely material flow to production lines.
- Ensure availability, traceability, and proper storage of materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and audits.
- Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels and prevent material shortages.
- Monitor and control non-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
- Packaging & Dispatch Management
- Ensure transport-worthy packaging for finished goods as per global standards.
- Develop and optimize packaging materials.
- Coordinate dispatch activities with logistics service providers.
- Ensure compliance with all dispatch documentation including customs requirements.
- Manage export shipments, ensuring timely clearance and delivery.
- Delivery & Service Performance
- Achieve and maintain delivery and quality reliability above company targets.
- Coordinate closely with customer service and sales teams for order fulfilment.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to import, export, tax, and customs regulations.
- Manage scrap disposal (hazardous & non-hazardous) in accordance with EHS norms.
- Promote safe working practices in logistics and warehouse areas.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 812 years of relevant experience in stores and logistics operations.
- Additional education in import/export or materials management preferred.
- Experience in automotive, electronics, engineering, or instrumentation industry.
- Exposure to multinational company environment preferred.
- Must have hands-on experience in SAP (MM & SD modules).

- Knowledge of import/export regulations, taxation, and customs compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, flowcharts).
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes and supply chain principles.
