Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional and global sourcing initiatives, either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or by managing your own tasks within a defined threshold. Each day, you will ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials and services aligned with technical specifications, pricing, schedules, and terms, in full compliance with ABB purchasing policies. You will also engage closely with suppliers, category leaders, and internal stakeholders to enhance value through sourcing excellence.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Smart Power Division in India. will be based at Nelamangala - Bangalore - India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Implemented effective sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and global CIPS standards to ensure supplier capability, capacity, and long-term business continuity.
Drove continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes to enhance cost efficiency, quality, delivery performance, and supplier collaboration through the Pro-Supply platform.
Managed procurement planning, budget tracking, savings forecasts, and emerging market spend while ensuring compliance with company quality, commercial, and procurement guidelines.
Monitored supply chain KPIs, supplier performance, quality metrics, and delivery timelines, proactively resolving procurement and operational issues to support SCM performance targets.
Established and managed supplier agreements by collaborating with regional and global category teams, ensuring effective supplier selection, contract standardization, and adherence to company policies, safety, and integrity standards.
Qualifications for the role:
Full-time BE/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
12-16 years of procurement and supply chain experience in Indirect Material / Services , Packaging .
Practical experience in sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management across technical categories.
Skilled in using Power BI, MS Excel Macros, and VB for analytical reporting and data visualization.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organization with global stakeholders.
Experience with supplier onboarding, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
Knowledge of ABB systems/tools and a continuous improvement mindset.
