To lead and assist members in the team and be point of contact for projects with customers. Your mission will be to support the Distribution centres/Product companies/Customer centres with high quality services in Customs classification.
Within the engineering team you will contribute to execute for Requests received for HS code classification & screening of DU codes as per guidelines of WTO.
You work with a team of classification engineers, project engineers and logistics engineers.
Your responsibilities will include the following aspects.
- Keep updated with latest/ upcoming developments in the global trade compliance field & related legislations
- Lead & motivate the trade compliance team who will,
- Execute requests received for HS code classification & screening of DU codes as per guidelines of WTO.
- Analyse the technical details like; working principle, functional parameters, materials, etc of parts / products of Atlas Copco parts & provide them correct HS code as per European, Indian, USA & Chinese customs & WTO guidelines.
- Understand the logic behind The General Rules for the Interpretation (GRI) of the Harmonized System, also known as the General Interpretative Rules (GIR).
- Communicate with the global customer on daily basis & resolve the technical queries/issues raised by customs authorities.

- Create, Develop & Maintain a Resource Planning Mechanism to deliver optimum resource utilization
- Ensure the Costs per hour remains as targeted by the Group Management

- Fully understand & adapt to Activity based costing, to allow optimum mix of GECIA resources & Partner Resources
- Bring Transparency in resource planning to indicate the Resource Occupancy on different Processes, Projects and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Define different automation projects to automate repeated processes & to improve the quality
Educational requirements
Graduate in B.E Mechanical Engineering graduate: 5-6 years of experience; in relevant field
