Experience Required: 3–6 Years in Medical Billing / AR Calling

Reporting To: Operations Manager / AR Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Team Leader for the AR Calling team in the medical billing process. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of AR callers, ensuring timely follow-up on insurance claims, improving collections, reducing aging, and maintaining team productivity and quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the AR Calling team.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and quality metrics.
• Ensure timely follow-up on unpaid or denied insurance claims.
• Guide the team in resolving claim denials, rejections, underpayments, and appeals.
• Review aging reports and prioritize high-value claims for follow-up.
• Maintain client SLA, productivity, and quality targets.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
• Train and mentor team members on process updates, payer guidelines, and billing practices.
• Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports with management.
• Coordinate with Quality, Training, and Operations teams for process improvement.
• Handle escalations and support the team in critical claim resolution.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Identify workflow gaps and implement corrective actions to improve collections and reduce AR aging.
• Motivate the team to achieve operational goals and maintain positive team engagement.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Medical Billing and AR Calling processes.
• Good understanding of denial management and insurance claim follow-up.
• Excellent leadership and team handling skills.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage targets and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
• Knowledge of US healthcare insurance and payer guidelines.

Qualification

• Any Graduate or equivalent qualification.
• Certification in Medical Billing/Coding is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience handling a team in AR Calling / Medical Billing process.
• Experience with physician billing or hospital billing preferred.
• Ability to work in night shifts .
