About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Team Lead UAV System Engineer to lead our UAV engineering team in designing, integrating, and optimizing drone systems for high-performance applications. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise along with proven leadership experience in the UAV domain.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of UAV system engineers, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Oversee the design, development, and integration of UAV systems including avionics, power systems, propulsion, communication modules, and flight controllers.
- Conduct and supervise ground and flight testing, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electronics, software, production) for end-to-end system delivery.
- Ensure compliance with DGCA and internal safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and project plans.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in UAV system development, testing, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of flight controllers (Pixhawk, PX4, Ardupilot), propulsion systems, GNSS, telemetry, and RF communication.
- Experience leading technical teams or managing cross-functional engineering tasks.
- Proficiency in diagnosing hardware and firmware issues.
- Familiarity with DGCA regulations and UAV compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and project management skills.
