Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the team of 7-10 members and complete their review.
  • Manage quarterly (10Q) and annual (10K) reporting for Medline. This will involve notes to accounts and MD&A preparation, as needed.
  • Support towards resolving audit queries during quarterly review and annual audit.
  • Analyze, investigate and provide commentary for variances YOY and QoQ numbers.
  • Assist in research and benchmarking for certain technical accounting and SEC reporting matters.
  • Handle end-to end lease accounting team from accounting to disclosure
  • Handle Census reporting package with US bureau.
  • Handle memo drafting like going concern, long-lived assets impairment etc
  • Drafting Global accounting policy for certain technical matters
  • Implementation of SOX controls and IPE throughout the process.
  • Provide all relevant workings and support to FP&A, Tax Team and Auditors.
  • Adhoc tasks, Simplification & Automation Projects.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Qualification and experience
  • CA - 7 to 10 years
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, Lease accounting, Technical accounting, accounting principles and procedures
  • Reporting / Consolidation / Controllership experience
  • Work experience
  • US GAAP financial reporting experience.
  • Experience of Standalone or consolidated financial statements.
  • Experience to handle audit queries.
  • Experience of lease accounting and memo drafting
  • Hands-on experience of working on debt and derivatives
  • IS experience
  • Multiple ERP systems knowledge (SAP & Oracle - FCCS)
  • Workiva Knowledge - Preferable
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Soft skills
  • Strong oral, written, communication skills and able to influence without authority
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
  • Ability to build successful relationships across the organization through collaboration, consensus building and interpersonal effectiveness
