We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Team Lead to guide ABAP development delivery across SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, CDS views, interfaces, and clean core development. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on ABAP expertise with technical leadership, stakeholder alignment, delivery coordination, mentoring, and quality governance. This role works closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, project managers, and global IT teams to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-quality SAP solutions.

Responsibilities
- Leadership Responsibilities
- Team coordination and workload steering
- Coordinate day-to-day ABAP development activities, balance team capacity, and ensure clear prioritization of tasks across projects, support activities, and continuous improvement topics.
- Technical decision-making and architecture guidance
- Guide technical solution design and architectural decisions to ensure scalable, maintainable, and clean-core-compliant ABAP developments.
- Coaching and capability development
- Support the professional development of team members through coaching, onboarding, feedback, and identification of learning opportunities.
- Cross-team collaboration leadership
- Act as a bridge between ABAP developers, functional consultants, business stakeholders, project managers, and global IT teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery.
- Performance feedback input
- Provide structured input on team members performance, technical growth, and development needs where applicable.
- Delivery and governance
- Define and enforce development quality standards, including unit testing, code reviews, performance checks, documentation, and adherence to clean core principles.
- Manage multiple deliverables across projects by coordinating team capacity, priorities, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in SAP ABAP development, including custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, and technical leadership of ABAP development teams or workstreams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to align business stakeholders, functional consultants, developers, project managers, and global IT teams.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP with real-time exposure to RICEF components, object-oriented programming, technical design, code review practices, and maintainable development standards.
- Structure and consistency
- Facilitate workshops and technical discussions to clarify business requirements, assess solution options, and align stakeholders on feasible ABAP delivery approaches.
- Validate, document, and challenge requirements where needed to ensure technical feasibility, clean core alignment, and sustainable solution design.
