Team Lead Import Operations
About the Team:
We are looking for a Team Lead – Fruit Imports & Central Operations to manage end-to-end import operations for fresh fruits. The role involves overseeing international shipments, ensuring documentation compliance, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining operational efficiency across the import supply chain.
This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in fruit import operations, shipment tracking, and cross-border documentation who can drive smooth import processes while managing internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
1. Import Shipment Management
- Manage and track end-to-end import shipments for fresh fruits from origin to destination.
- Ensure timely shipment planning, execution, and delivery coordination.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve operational bottlenecks.
2. Documentation & Compliance
- Handle import documentation, including PO/SO, invoices, and shipment documentation.
- Ensure adherence to import regulations, customs compliance, and documentation accuracy.
- Work closely with finance teams for cross-border payment coordination.
3. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams including supply, demand planning, and finance for seamless operations.
- Work with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and international suppliers to ensure smooth shipment movement.
- Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders to mitigate delays and risks.
4. Team Leadership & Execution
- Lead and mentor the import operations team.
- Allocate operational tasks and ensure timely execution of import activities.
- Drive process discipline and operational efficiency.
5. Operational Reporting
- Prepare and maintain shipment tracking reports and operational dashboards.
- Identify and highlight delays, documentation gaps, and operational risks.
- Provide actionable insights to improve import processes.
