A seasoned cybersecurity professional with over
12 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing robust network security infrastructures. Proven expertise in leading teams to secure enterprise environments through strategic deployment of advanced security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of network security engineers in planning, deploying, and maintaining secure network architectures.
- Oversee the configuration, optimization, and management of Fortinet firewalls, including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
- Administer and monitor web proxies, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), VPNs, and secure web gateways to ensure secure and compliant internet access.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce security policies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage incident response and forensic investigations for network-related security breaches.
- Mentor junior staff and provide training on emerging threats and technologies.
Technical Expertise
- Firewalls: Fortinet (FortiGate), Palo Alto, Cisco ASA
- Proxies & Web Security: Blue Coat, Zscaler, Squid
- Network Protocols & Tools: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wireshark, SNMP
- Security Standards: ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls
- SIEM & Monitoring: FortiAnalyzer, Splunk, SolarWinds
- Cloud Security: Azure and AWS network security controls
Desired Skills And Experience
- BS or in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Strong business acumen and understanding of clients network and infrastructure related business goals and challenges to ensure proper translation of the client's needs into technology solutions
- 12+ years in a customer/client facing technical role (Pre/Post Sales, Consulting, Solutions Architecture, Service Delivery, etc.) with a strong knowledge of various infrastructure architectures related to Hmulti cloud and on premise data center deployments.
- Successfully led multiple enterprise firewall migration projects with zero downtime.
- Reduced security incident response time by 40% through automation and improved monitoring.
- Played a key role in achieving ISO 27001 certification for the organization's network infrastructure.
