Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory, including Sales in Excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice. Each day, you will support internal customer service inquiries. You will also showcase your knowledge by setting inventory parameters and targets and ensuring adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Smart Power Business, for Supply Chain Operation function at Bangalore location.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Manage complete import and export logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient material flow.
Maintain inventory parameters in SAP ERP using ABC/XYZ analysis, while monitoring purchase order backlogs and expediting with suppliers.
Implement best practices in logistics, stores operations, and inventory management to minimize late backlogs and address root causes.
Prepare and share regular planning and fulfilment reports with business leaders, ensuring consistent and adequate material supply for production.
Achievement of targets: SOTD, Lead Time, DIH and Inventory Turn Ratio
Qualifications for the role
Possess 12+ years of experience in material planning and inventory control within large-scale organizations, in the switchgear and electrical industry.
Extensive skills in material planning, S&OP, purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain coordination to ensure seamless production and business operations.
Good knowledge of import and export logistics handling, including coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs-related processes.
Cooperative professional focused on knowledge sharing, team support, and implementing ongoing improvements to processes.
Goal-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation, inventory records, and planning data.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams and incorporate innovative ideas and solutions.
Experience in the switchgear and electrical industry, particularly with MCBs, wiring accessories, and distribution boards (DBs), along with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and implement corrective actions as needed.
