Job Summary
The Team Lead Catalogue Management will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Marketplace catalogue function, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of product listings across Lowe's e-commerce platform. This role manages a team responsible for item audits, data quality, taxonomy & merchandising hierarchy alignment, and catalogue enrichment. The Team Lead will collaborate closely with sellers, internal merchandising teams, and cross-functional partners to drive process excellence, defect reduction, and improved customer experience.

- People Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of catalogue specialists focused on audits, QA, listing accuracy, and content enrichment.
- Manage workload distribution, performance evaluations, coaching, and skill development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.
- Catalogue Operations & Quality Assurance
- Oversee daily catalogue operations including data validation, content QA, and hierarchy classification among others
- Ensure adherence to catalogue standards, category taxonomy, product attributes, and merchandising guidelines.
- Conduct regular item audits to identify data gaps, defects, misclassifications, and compliance issues; drive corrective actions.
- Process Improvement & Defect Reduction
- Analyze recurring catalogue errors and operational bottlenecks; implement scalable solutions and process simplification initiatives.
- Identify defect trends related to seller submissions, internal workflows, or system limitations and lead cross-functional resolution.
- Create SOPs, quality checklists, and audit frameworks to improve catalogue consistency and accuracy.
- Seller Interaction & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as a point of contact for Marketplace sellers for catalogue standards, listing requirements, and data-quality expectations.
- Partner with merchandising, category management, product/content teams, and tech teams to resolve catalogue issues and improve listing workflows.
- Provide training and guidance to sellers and internal teams on best practices for product data and content compliance.
- Catalogue Enrichment & Customer Experience
- Lead initiatives to enrich catalogue data including enhanced attributes, improved product titles, richer descriptions, images, and SEO-friendly content.
- Monitor product discoverability, category placement, and search performance; ensure alignment with customer shopping behavior.
- Support strategic catalogue expansions, seasonal updates, and category refreshes.
- Reporting & Performance Management
- Track and report on key metrics such as listing accuracy, defect rates, SLAs, audit outcomes, seller compliance, and team productivity.
- Use data insights to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
- Present regular updates to leadership on catalogue health and improvement initiatives.
Years Of Experience
- Min 6+ Years relevant experience in online/retail merchandising, digital business, operations
- 2+ years leadership experience with direct or indirect report responsibility and managing 1-2 cross-functional teams/resources
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Business Administration, Marketing, Operations, Data Analytics, or related field
Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
- Experience with digital or marketplace or category merchandising
- Highly Detail-oriented with strong operational mindset
- Proven Expertise in third-party assortment management, data quality methodology/guidelines
- Experience with third party marketplace systems such as DSCO/Rithum/Mirakl etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to converse with US based sellers via email, phone, teams calls(to be evaluated)
- Leadership experience with direct report responsibility and managing cross-functional teams
- Experience working with Excel and other data/reporting tools
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
Secondary Skills (desired)
- Retail corporate experience
- Experience in customer facing/telecall/Customer Support roles
- Experience / familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Superset, or other analytics platforms
- Experience managing a business portfolio in a large retail environment
- Account management, client serving or consulting experience
