About The Team
US Talent Sourcing team's goal is to leverage talent market intelligence to identify, engage, and convert passive talent into a scalable, employable talent ecosystem for Lowe's. Sourcing passive talent is a critical capability for Lowe's Talent Team to ensure hiring managers have visibility into the full range of market talent beyond active job seekers.
Job Summary
The Team Lead Market Research & Talent Mapping will lead the design and execution of structured passive talent pipelining and advanced market intelligence initiatives across priority skill domains and strategic roles.
This role is responsible for delivering actionable talent insights, competitor EVP analysis, and pipeline readiness strategies that directly influence workforce planning, employer branding, and hiring outcomes.
The incumbent will combine analytical rigor, external market intelligence, and strategic stakeholder partnership to ensure proactive talent supply visibility and competitive positioning.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Passive Talent Pipelining Strategy
- Develop and oversee structured passive talent pipelining frameworks for priority roles and critical skill segments.
- Ensure 100% coverage of identified strategic roles through mapped talent pools.
- Build role-wise talent landscapes including competitor mapping, skill clustering, and geo heatmaps.
- Improve pipeline readiness by establishing measurable quality and engagement benchmarks.
- Monitor conversion metrics and optimize engagement strategies for passive talent segments.
- Market Research & Talent Intelligence Projects
- Lead and deliver end-to-end market research projects on:
- Critical skill domains
- Emerging talent trends
- Supply-demand shifts
- Geographic expansion markets
- Translate complex labor market data into actionable business insights.
- Develop structured research reports with executive-ready recommendations.
- Present insights to senior leadership to inform workforce strategy and expansion planning.
- Competitor EVP & Market Positioning Analysis
- Analyze competitor compensation trends, branding narratives, talent value propositions, and differentiation levers.
- Benchmark employer positioning across digital channels and talent communities.
- Identify strategic gaps and opportunities to strengthen talent attraction and positioning.
- Employer Branding & Passive Talent Insights
- Partner with Employer Branding and Talent Acquisition teams to provide quarterly passive talent sentiment insights.
- Conduct brand perception analysis across mapped talent pools.
- Provide data-backed messaging recommendations to improve outreach effectiveness.
- Support campaign strategy through persona-based market insights.
- Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing market research & mapping team.
- Ensure 100% team completion of capability-building programs covering:
- Advanced Talent Market Intelligence & Mapping
- Persuasive Outreach & Talent Engagement Mastery
- Data-Driven Pipeline Management & Conversion Optimization
- Establish SOPs, quality frameworks, and standard reporting templates.
- Drive a culture of insight-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Years Of Experience
4-6 years of experience in Talent Intelligence, Market Research, Talent Mapping, or Strategic Sourcing
Education Qualification & Certifications
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Data Analytics, or related field
