This role sits at the intersection of advanced engineering leadership and applied research within an emerging technologies incubation environment. You will lead the design and delivery of experimental and production-grade systems that explore frontier use cases in AI, agentic systems, and next-generation communication platforms. Working in a fast-moving R&D setting, you will guide technical direction while remaining hands-on in architecture and implementation. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to rapidly prototype, validate, and evolve early-stage product concepts. You will also help define engineering standards and enable high-velocity experimentation across initiatives that aim to reshape future digital interactions. It is a high-impact position suited for leaders who thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building from first principles.
Accountabilities
- Architect, design, and lead end-to-end development of prototypes and production-ready systems within emerging technology initiatives
- Drive technical strategy for AI, machine learning, and agent-based systems, ensuring alignment with experimentation goals and product vision
- Guide engineering excellence by establishing coding standards, review practices, and scalable development methodologies
- Mentor and support engineers, fostering technical growth and elevating overall team capability and output quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate ambiguous ideas into executable technical solutions
- Influence technical decisions and communicate architecture, progress, and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership
- Enable rapid experimentation by continuously iterating on solutions based on feedback, data, and evolving requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of professional software development experience across full-stack or distributed systems environments
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go
- Deep experience with front-end and/or back-end frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js, Spring Boot, etc.)
- Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data architecture principles
- Proven ability to design and deliver scalable systems in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems, LLM-based workflows, or agentic coding paradigms is highly valued
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder communication skills across technical and executive audiences
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to self-direct, unblock challenges, and drive execution independently
