Role Overview
We are seeking an
Inside Sales Team Lead to manage and support a team of Inside Sales Executives. This role is ideal for someone who has grown from an individual contributor to a people leader and is passionate about coaching, driving conversions, and owning team performance.
You will act as the
bridge between the sales executives and management, ensuring daily execution, discipline, and continuous improvement in sales outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management & Coaching
- Lead and manage a team of Inside Sales Executives to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Conduct regular call monitoring, feedback sessions, and on-the-job coaching.
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members on product knowledge, sales pitch, and objection handling.
- Motivate the team through goal setting, performance tracking, and continuous engagement.
Sales Execution & Target Ownership
- Ensure effective handling of inbound and outbound leads with a focus on high-quality conversions.
- Support the team in closing difficult or high-intent prospects and handling escalations.
- Track individual and team performance metrics such as conversions, talk time, follow-ups, and closures.
- Drive consistency in follow-ups and pipeline management.
Process & CRM Discipline
- Ensure accurate CRM usage and timely updates by the team.
- Maintain daily MIS reports and share insights with the Sales Manager.
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and conversion rates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.
- Coordinate with operations and customer success teams for smooth customer onboarding and handover.
- Act as the first point of contact for team-level issues and escalations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 25 years of experience in inside sales/telesales, with at least 612 months in a Team Lead role.
- Strong experience in handling sales targets and team KPIs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English + at least one regional language (Telugu / Tamil / Kannada / Marathi) is mandatory.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, fintech, or subscription-based sales is preferred.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools and MS Office.
- Result-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
