Responsibilities
Job Description: -
- Daily verifications and process validations, ensuring the team's comprehensive understanding of specific processes and strict adherence to relevant procedures for successful project delivery.
- Participate in periodic audits, compliance reviews, and risk sample checks to uphold operational standards.
- Proactively propose new ideas for process improvements and suggestions to enhance team efficiency and quality.
- Promote a positive attitude towards company's internal policies, procedures, and controls within the team.
- Assess operational risks and conduct spot checks to ensure activities comply with regulatory requirements and Société Générale guidelines.
- Ensure escalation protocols are established and rigorously followed by the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with onshore partners, providing timely support and addressing their queries.
- Identify and achieve challenges that contribute to the team's success.
- Consistently meet or exceed client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to fulfil service expectations.
- Organize and coordinate Governance conference calls efficiently.
- Capture and document feedback from onsite managers during weekly and monthly calls.
- Decision Making: Apply sound judgment by analyzing relevant information and considering all pertinent facts and alternatives before selecting the most appropriate course of action.
- Communication: Effectively express ideas by organizing and delivering information clearly and appropriately.
- Manage and nurture healthy relationships with peers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Operational:
- Carrying out client due diligence using a wide range of databases and search facilities to identify PEPs, and sanctions (including analyzing documents provided by clients and advising whether further information or enhanced due diligence is required)
- Identification, verification, and screening of ultimate beneficial owners (UBO's)
- Should possess a strong understanding of complex processes, workflows, and systems related activities.
- Should actively contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify and optimize processes.
- The role requires strict adherence to audit and compliance standards
- Reviewing of Investor FATCA/CRS information & documentation data.
- Client on-boarding and analyse client data, documentation, and negative news to understand a client risk profile as established under AML & KYC procedures.
- Perform research via internal and external sources and collect and analyse documentation in accordance with regulatory and KYC requirements.
- Review negative media alerts from client screening tools (e.g., World-Check/FIRCO)
- Conduct transaction monitoring and other surveillance reviews.
- Have a good working knowledge on AML directives and applicable guidelines (FATF)
- Performance of periodic reviews, investor static data requests ensuring investor information and documentation is kept up to date.
- Communicating via email with investor and management company daily responding to their AML/KYC queries.

Business insight
The Transfer Agency onboarding/account opening team is responsible for setting up new investor accounts by collecting and verifying required documents in line with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations
- The investor's identity is verified (KYC)
- The investor is screened for risks (AML checks like sanctions, PEP, adverse media)
- All documents are complete and compliant
- The account is approved and opened only after due diligence
