Job Description

  1. You will be responsible for the efficient operation of clean utility systems, overseeing scheduling, staffing, monitoring, training, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and safety guidelines. Additionally, you will manage contract manpower, spare parts, consumables, vendors, and AMCs (Annual Maintenance Contracts).
  2. You will ensure the generation, distribution, and uninterrupted supply of clean utilities to manufacturing plants within specified criteria, optimize capacity utilization, and effectively manage preventive and unplanned maintenance activities. You will also coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors, prepare CAPEX/OPEX (Capital Expenditure/ Operating Expenses) budgets, and monitor costs to support uninterrupted and compliant clean utility supply to processes and plants.
  3. You will be responsible for ensuring effective monitoring of HVAC systems by BMS /EMS (Building/Energy Management System) to maintain environmental conditions within specified criteria and uphold quality compliance. You will review capacities and design, and troubleshoot deviations in room conditions to support validated operations in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)/Quality requirements.7
  4. You will be responsible for reporting and closing QMS (Quality Management system) elements, ensuring compliance with GMP and operational SOPs for designated equipment. You will also be responsible for ensuring complete operational documentation and collection/maintenance of operating data in line with cGMPs (Current GMP), company standards, and regulatory requirements.
  5. You will oversee the qualification and revalidation of systems and equipment, and updating of drawings and technical specifications. You will maintain equipment for correct functionality and calibration compliance, operate within validated process parameters, and ensure audit readiness and compliance.
  6. You will be responsible for leading safety awareness and improvements, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and reporting of all unsafe matters and near misses/accidents.
  7. You will be responsible for goal setting, conducting performance reviews, and providing training and coaching for employees. You will manage employee performance issues, implement corrective actions, and appreciate employee contributions.
  8. Monitoring of Preventive maintenance activities of all equipment and Building and facility maintenance as per approved schedules.

  10. Responsible for break down, preventive, Proactive maintenance of all equipment.
  11. Investigating equipment failures and finding root cause of failure with appropriate CAPA.
  12. To Ensure HVAC operation, Maintenance and periodical validation.
  13. To ensure that compliance (regulatory and statutory) are understood, implemented and monitored regularly. To adhere to principles of Good Engineering Practice (GEP).
  14. To implement Dr Reddy's policies and site objectives across the department.
  15. To bring about Improvement in machine availability, time bound repair of machine and equipment (along with the relevant records).
  16. To ensure the asset owners are aware of the maintainability issues of their assets.
  17. Ensure that all the drawings and technical specifications of the equipment and system in his area are updated.
  18. Investigating calibration failures and failure during preventive maintenance and taking the corrective actions.
  19. Ensure that the equipment and related systems (both old and new) are (re)qualified / (re)validated as per schedule.
  20. To reuse and recycle equipment/spare wherever possible.
  21. Reduce construction cost in line with the site objectives.
  22. Trouble shooting with an objective of finding permanent solution.
  23. To ensure cGMP implementation in his/her area as per the QMS.
  24. Ensure the good housekeeping and SHE targets as per site objectives.
  25. Liaisoning (with peers and outside agencies) to meet business objectives.
  26. To ensure that the his department meets it's budget targets.
  27. To ensure the facility is as per site objectives at all times.
  28. Creating a work environment that promotes safety, people training and development and performance orientation in line with Dr Reddy's Values and policies
  29. Timely absorption of new initiatives (like projects, modification etc)
  30. To maintain records/documents as per SOP's.
  31. Supervision of contractor employee's operational activities.
  32. To ensure that the new SOPs, CCFs, IRs, Validation protocols, reports (like qualification) etc. (with the support of related [and relevant] peers) are made, reviewed and implemented on time as per the ESD objectives.
  33. Monitoring of preventive maintenance activities and breakdown maintenance of all utility and water system equipment's, Cooling towers, Boilers and Air compressors as per approved schedules.
  34. Initiating utility related CCFs, IRs, Tracking and closure of CCF, IR and CAPA of utility.
  35. Investing water failures and finding root cause of failures with appropriate CAPA.
  36. Asset commissioning / Tagging.
  37. Spares management for utilities.
  38. Budget monitoring / controlling.
  39. To ensure the asset owners are aware of the maintainability issues of their assets.
  40. Supervision of contractor employee's operational activities.
  41. To ensure that validation/qualification protocols are prepared and reviewed as per requirement.

Qualifications

B.Tech (Mechanical or Any Engineering), having 5 to 15 years experience in API Pharma Utilities like, cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, driers, boilers, HVAC systems etc.,
