Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Team Lead Data Scrapper based in Ahmedabad. The Team Lead will oversee data scraping projects, ensuring timely and precise data collection from multiple sources. Responsibilities include managing and analyzing scraped data, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with teams to meet project goals. The role also involves implementing data management strategies and providing insights derived from data analytics.
Core Responsibilities:
- Designing and maintaining scalable web scraping scripts and crawlers using languages like Python or JavaScript to collect data from diverse online sources.
- Extracting, cleaning, and transforming unstructured or semi-structured data (PDFs, HTML, Text) into usable formats like JSON, CSV, or SQL databases.
- Implementing solutions to bypass blocks, such as rotating proxies, browser fingerprinting, and CAPTCHA solving, especially for JavaScript-heavy or protected sites.
- Identifying potential clients or market trends through online research and structured data extraction from platforms like LinkedIn or social media.
- Performing regular audits and monitoring scraper performance to ensure high data integrity, accuracy, and reliability.
- Adhere to all applicable data privacy regulations and platform-specific terms of service while scraping.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and problem-solving abilities
- Expertise in Data Management and Clinical Data Management
- Experience with Data Science and Data Analytics methodologies
- Proficiency with data scraping tools and techniques
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Prior experience in a data scraping
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Programming Languages:Strong proficiency inPython(most common) is typically required.
- Strong understanding of APIs and data extraction techniques.
- Hands-on experience with data scrapping tools.
- In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM parsing, and XPath/CSS selectors.
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) for data storage and management.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
