About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Data Analyst to lead functional analysis and delivery across data and application initiatives. The role involves translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, coordinating project delivery, and ensuring the quality, consistency, and scalability of solutions.

The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams while providing leadership to the GCC delivery team. Strong functional analysis, solution design, testing, and team management capabilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Architecture & Solution Design

• Analyze business needs and translate them into clear, actionable functional specifications.
• Ensure proposed solutions are consistent, maintainable, and scalable across projects.
• Challenge existing requirements and recommend improvements to optimize business processes and data usage.
• Maintain functional documentation, specifications, process flows, and solution repositories.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment between requirements and implementation.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Define and maintain testing strategies aligned with functional requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate test execution across business and technical teams.
• Ensure defects are analyzed, tracked, and resolved effectively.
• Validate delivered solutions against functional requirements and quality expectations before production deployment.

Team Leadership & Development

• Ensure effective execution of activities and projects in line with priorities and objectives defined by the Functional Manager.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Support the professional development and continuous improvement of the team.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, and skills development activities.
• Support succession planning to build and maintain the required team capabilities.

Required Technical Skills

• Functional specification writing and requirements analysis.
• Functional architecture and solution design.
• Test planning, test execution, and quality assurance.
• Good understanding of software development processes.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical and functional solutions.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Background in full-stack development or data-related roles.
• Experience with data analysis and Python.
• Knowledge of steelmaking processes or a similar industrial domain.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Statistics, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, functional analysis, and stakeholder management capabilities.
