Job Description

Role:

The Capacity Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient resource allocation and optimal utilization of available capacity within the organization. This role involves analyzing historical data, forecasting future demand, and developing strategic plans to align workforce capacity with business requirements. The Capacity Planner collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to identify capacity gaps, recommend solutions, and implement effective workforce management strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze historical data, trends, and patterns to forecast future demand for resources across various business units or projects.
  • Develop and maintain capacity models, incorporating factors such as skill sets, workload fluctuations, and resource availability to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand resource needs, and align capacity planning efforts with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on capacity metrics, such as utilization rates, capacity gaps, and resource allocation effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify potential capacity risks or bottlenecks and propose proactive mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in resource planning meetings, presenting capacity analysis and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain capacity planning tools, templates, and dashboards to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in capacity planning and workforce management.

Criteria:

  • Any Graduation
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in capacity planning, workforce management, or resource planning roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in using capacity planning tools, spreadsheet applications, and data visualization software.
