Role Objective
As a
Team Lead – AI/LLM Engineering, you will lead the development of scalable AI-powered applications and backend systems while managing a team of engineers. The role requires a strong balance of technical leadership and hands-on contribution in building production-grade solutions using
Python, Django, RAG architectures, Vector Databases, and modern LLM frameworks. You will drive project execution, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality delivery of AI solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 6–10 engineers for AI/LLM-based projects.
- Drive end-to-end project delivery with focus on quality, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python and Django.
- Build and optimize AI workflows involving RAG systems, Vector Databases, embeddings, and LLM orchestration.
- Work with technologies such as LangGraph and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Participate in architecture discussions, system design, and technical decision-making.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and support team growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth project execution.
- Identify and remove technical blockers to improve team productivity.
- Contribute hands-on to development, debugging, and deployment activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a developer.
- Minimum 7–8 months of experience with building AI systems.
- Strong hands-on experience in Python and Django development.
- Experience with Vector Databases and embedding-based retrieval systems.
- Good understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of System Design and scalable application architecture.
- Experience working with AI/LLM integrations and RAG systems.
- Prior team leadership or mentoring experience.
- Good communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
