Adani Power Limited (APL): Adani Power Limited (APL), a part of the diversified Adani Group, is the largest private thermal power producer in India. Job Purpose: This role is responsible for ensuring the timely execution of major equipment overhauls and maintenance activities, including adherence to RCA, FMEA, and ZFO standards. This role will coordinate processes, track performance, and manage projects, including CAPEX, providing technical support and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Team Lead Mechanical Ash Handling Plant
Maintenance Management And Technical Oversight
Ensure adherence and execution of major equipment overhauling schedules.
Plan and ensure execution of maintenance activities during opportunity-based shutdowns and ensure availability of systems for SSC, charging of ESP and evacuation of Fly ash through silos.
Ensure RCA (Root Cause Analysis), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), ZFO (Zero Failure Objective), and technical audits to maintain high operational standards.
Oversee painting, and refurbishment activities of major spares.
Oversee seasonal maintenance plans for AHP.
Ensure implementation of a corrosion prevention plan and rolling plans.
Process Coordination And Performance Tracking
Create role permits (Permit to Work, PTW) in SAP and ensure approval; resolve and close defects notifications in SAP.
Prepare Notes for Approval (NFAs) for deviations and modifications, ensuring system approval is obtained.
Track performance of business associates digitally, ensuring timely and quality work through effective contract management.
Project Management And Technical Support
Participate in surveys for new projects, contributing to layout, plans, and provisions required.
Manage CAPEX projects and ensure timely completion.
Support new projects by providing technical inputs and participating in the planning phase.
Prepare presentations for monthly Site Review Management (SRM) meetings.
Manage preparation of case studies and implementation of corrective actions based on critical issues.
Budget And Inventory Management
Manage budget requirements for materials and services within the area of work.
Ensure raising of purchase requisitions (PRs) and the availability of equipment and spares.
Create PRs and POs for the section and adhere to monthly consumption of budgets.
Provide technical inputs for the development of indigenous equipment and support alternate vendor development for cost optimization.
Manage resource planning, including AMC manpower and allocation of equipment as per requirement.
Follow up with agencies to ensure timely submissions and closures of bills.
Business Sustainability
Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, and CHETNA guidelines within the department.
Maintain compliance with technical audits, safety audits, and business excellence assessments.
Participate in safety meetings and seminars to minimize accidents as per CHETNA and ensure zero harm.
Support safety equipment third-party inspections and certifications of equipment healthiness.
Digitization And Automation
Lead and execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
Innovate and implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.
Review and implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.
Support digital transformation by adopting new technologies and improvements.
People And Team Engagement
Participate in the recruitment process to attract and retain skilled personnel for the team.
Drive and enhance employee engagement and retention across the team to sustain a positive workplace culture.
Lead, inspire, and mentor the team to foster a high-performance culture and ensure cross-skilling through job rotation, technical, and behavioural training.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Work Experience (Range Of Years)
11+ years of experience in maintenance and overhaul management in power plants or heavy industries.
Preferred Industry
Experience in the power generation industry, specifically in ash handling or related heavy industrial sectors.
