Team Lead - Abhivyakti - The City Art Project

Torrent Group, UNM foundation is looking for senior team lead for our Abhivyakti- City art project based at Ahmedabad

Job Description:

Strategic Leadership

• Provide Strategic and creative direction to the program

• Ensure that the art performances and installations are curated as per the vision of Abhivyakti- which is that they should be new, unique and not hurt religious, social and political sentiments

• For this, ensure the appointment of appropriate curators and mentors

• Bring synergy across the different art forms in terms of vision and ensure that they all together present a coherent and premiere show in each edition

• Ensure that the execution is in line with the program and of best quality where audience safety, care and respect is of paramount importance

• Ensure Abhivyakti becomes a recurring and celebrated part of the city's cultural calendar.

• Lead the expansion and replication of the project across other Indian cities.

• Budgeting and Financial control of the program, its documentation and institutionalization of processes

• Guide the marketing and communication of Abhivyakti to ensure that it is a national brand and on the national art map

• Build, nurture and lead a team that can ensure Abhivyakti's vision and core values

Artistic Engagement

• Represent Abhivyakti in national and international art circles with sensitivity to the arts.

• Build and nurture a network of curators, mentors, and artists of national repute.

• Support curators, artists, and mentors throughout the selection and development process.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• A strong communicator with a deep appreciation for the arts and cultural ecosystems.

• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale cultural or creative projects.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.

• Adept at stakeholder engagement, networking, and public representation.

• Experience in marketing, branding, and public relations is a strong advantage.
