Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain the data layer across UA's web properties, ensuring it is consistent, well-structured, and analytics-ready.
  • Implement and manage tags in Tealium iQ (tag management system), including load rules, extensions, and mappings.
  • Deploy and QA third-party marketing pixels—Facebook/Meta, Twitter/X, Snapchat, AWIN (affiliate), Bluecore, and similar—through Tealium rather than hard-coded.
  • Implement analytics tagging (event tracking, custom dimensions/metrics) feeding the broader analytics stack.
  • Troubleshoot tag firing, data layer population, and tracking discrepancies across SPA contexts.
  • Collaborate with engineering and analytics stakeholders to ensure tracking requirements are captured and correctly instrumented.

Required Skills

  • Strong JavaScript (primary technical skill; this is fundamentally a JS-heavy role)
  • Hands-on Tealium iQ experience and data layer architecture/building.
  • Familiarity with single-page application (SPA) behavior and the tracking challenges SPAs introduce (virtual page views, route-change events, async rendering).
  • Working familiarity with Next.js and RequireJS module patterns—enough to instrument and debug tracking within those frameworks.
  • Experience deploying and validating third-party marketing/conversion pixels.
  • Experience with consent/privacy management within Tealium, server-side tagging, and analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics / GA) on the consumption side of the data layer.
