Role Description This is a full-time, on-site teaching role based in Sirsa for Music, Dance, and Art & Craft educators. The teachers will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives for different age groups. Daily responsibilities include designing lesson plans, preparing teaching materials, conducting practical and theory classes, organizing rehearsals and creative activities, and assessing student performance and progress. The role also involves guiding students in performances, exhibitions, and school events, maintaining classroom discipline, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with other staff to support school-wide initiatives. Teachers are expected to participate in parent interactions, staff meetings, and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject expertise and practical proficiency in Music, Dance, or Art & Craft, with the ability to teach foundational and advanced concepts.
  • Experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment within a school or educational setting.
  • Ability to design creative, activity-based learning experiences that encourage participation, expression, and skill development.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Relevant academic qualifications or formal training in Music, Dance, Fine Arts, or Art & Craft; a teaching certification or diploma is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with international or Cambridge-based curricula is preferred, along with openness to continuous professional learning.
  • Capability to organize performances, exhibitions, and co-curricular events, and to integrate arts education into the broader school program.
