Responsibilities

• Experience with Windows CIFS/SMB protocols, SMB file locks, DFS namespace, NTFS. & FS security.
• Experience with NFS protocol, Multipath, file uploading/downloading, FS security.
• Expert knowledge of storage system management tools and software.
• Experience with storage system performance analysis troubleshooting & resolution of complex problems.
• Experience with backup/restore and archiving of data in a large environment, including both disk and tape backups and restores.
• Demonstrate understanding of relationship storage systems have with associated business processes.
• Ability to understand and write scripts in Shell, Python, and/or Perl.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills along with analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience with reporting and alerting software like Nagios/Icinga or similar.
• Experience with provisioning SAN and NAS storage on Linux and Windows.
• Broad troubleshooting experience.
