Job Description:
- 10+ years of overall experience in architecting and building Power BI analytics solutions
- Deep knowledge of Power BI architecture, data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M language) and report/dashboard development.
- Strong experience in designing semantic models, star/snowflake schemas and optimizing data for analytics.
- Hands-on experience connecting Power BI to various sources (SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, APIs, etc.).
- Ability to optimize Power BI reports, manage large datasets and implement best practices for query performance.
- Experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Analysis Services) and/or AWS for hybrid BI solutions.
- Expertise in implementing row-level security, workspace governance and compliance standards.
- Strong skills in designing intuitive, interactive dashboards aligned with business KPIs.
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or related certifications
- Ability to lead architecture discussions, mentor teams and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experienced in working in a customer facing role
- Conduct workshops with customer's business and IT teams and capture, document and summarize the business requirements
- Develop optimized data models using DAX and Power Query (M) for large-scale analytics and reporting.
- Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and APIs for seamless data flow.
- Establish governance and security standards, including row-level security (RLS), workspace management, and compliance policies.
- Optimize performance of reports and dashboards through best practices in modeling, aggregations, and query tuning
- Guide technical team of deliverables and get the solution implemented
- Conduct proof of concepts and create differentiating assets
- Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to translate requirements into scalable BI solutions
