Job Description

The TCC Engineer is responsible for administering the Schlumberger Trade Control Compliance program in a center or GeoMarket. The TCC Engineer implements and monitors guidelines, procedures and best practices.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Assignment & Validation of Trade Data (Export Control Classification Number and Harmonized Tariff Schedule) for Cameron Products/Technology and Services for global Import/Export operations. Manage Trade Compliance processes and issues to ensure business strictly comply with all applicable import and export control laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where the Company does business.
  • Must be able to work in 3 rotational shifts (where required)
  • Assign and validate HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) for the Import/Export compliance of Products for correct determination of duty tariff and applicable import/export permits and licenses.
  • Assign and Validate ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) for the Export compliance of Products for correct determination of export or re-export licenses.
  • Update of trade data to Cameron ERP and Compliance system
  • Research and provide technical assistance in interpretation or justification for customs rulings, customs schemes and anti-dumping duties and countervailing measures.
  • Carry out research and investigations activities for new and existing business partners to determine and confirm potential matches to applicable sanctions lists (including information on shareholders and percentage of interest). The result may impact the ability for Schlumberger to be able to engage with the party.
  • Maintenance of approved, restricted/denied or manually sanctioned business partners.
  • Carry out review for sanctioned related transactions
  • Review and respond to Trade Compliance Block issues.
  • Determine Export and Re-Export License applicability based on products, end use/ end user, destination and product content and country of origin information.
  • Management of Export and Re-Export Licenses to transactions.

Engineering Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Production/ Electronic and Instrumentation/ Electrical and Electronics with 1-3 years of trade classification or export control or trade sanction management experience

Preferred Skills

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) & ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) Classification.
  • Experience in Denied Party Screening.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deliver tasks within set deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge in Import Export compliance.
  • Strong knowledge on Oil and Gas products and Operations
  • Experience in project management
  • Proficient in using Microsoft applications
  • Experience in ERP system SAP
  • Experience in Trade Compliance system Trade Automation
