Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong expertise in Direct & Indirect Taxation. The role involves managing tax filings / compliances for India, US, Bahrain & Qatar, assessments, advisory matters, and ensuring compliance with the Income Tax Act, GST, and other regulatory requirements for the company & other group companies.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Tax (Corporate Income Tax)
- Preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns.
- Computation of advance tax, deferred tax, and tax provisions.
- Preparation of Form 3CD (Tax Audit Report) and supporting documentation.
- Handling transfer pricing compliance 3CEB documentation, TP study coordination.
- Managing corporate tax assessments, providing responses to notices, and supporting litigation strategy.
- Ensuring compliance with TDS/TCS regulations, including monthly payments and quarterly returns (Form 24Q/26Q)
- Review of vendor agreements / tie ups / payments to ensure correct deduction of taxes.
Indirect Tax (GST)
- Review of monthly GST workings, input tax credit (ITC) reconciliations, and return filings (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C).
- Coordination for GST audits, departmental queries, and compliance support.
- Monitoring of RCM applicability, cross-charge and related-party transactions.
- Filling of refund applications.
Planning & Advisory
- Supporting tax planning initiatives to optimise tax outflow while ensuring compliance.
- Advisory on business transactions, agreements, and corporate restructuring from a tax perspective.
- Coordination with external consultants, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Monitoring of changes in tax laws and updating internal stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation for all tax filings.
- Preparation of tax schedules and reports for statutory audit, internal audit, and management reporting.
- Supporting monthly/quarterly/yearly closing from a tax standpoint.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.
- [4 to 5] years experience in taxation.
- Strong working knowledge of Income Tax Act, GST Law, TDS, and relevant rules.
- Proficiency in Excel, and ERP systems (SAP).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret tax laws.
- Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams and tax authorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
