All roles below support U.S.-based tax engagements for Elevate partner firms and work closely with onshore tax teams.

Work Schedule for All Roles: 3:00 PM IST – 12:00 AM IST (4:30 AM EST – 1:00 PM EST)

Tax Supervisor

Experience Level: Senior/Supervisory

Overview

The Tax Supervisor oversees the day-to-day execution of U.S. tax engagements, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables. This role includes supervising staff, reviewing tax returns and workpapers, and serving as a key liaison between offshore teams and U.S.-based managers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise execution of tax engagements, including preparation, review, and documentation
  • Lead engagement planning, data validation, preparation, and finalization for tax engagements
  • Review tax returns and workpapers to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. tax regulations
  • Identify and resolve engagement and technical tax issues
  • Ensure all workpapers are well-documented, organized, and review-ready, with clear audit trails and supporting documentation
  • Train, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors
  • Collaborate closely with U.S.-based managers and partners

Skills Required

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and technical expertise
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of US tax returns experience in a public accounting firm preferred
  • CA/CPA/EA preferred but not required
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws, including Corporate, S-Corporations, Partnership, Individual taxation
  • Experience working with U.S.-based tax teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience with CCH Axcess is a plus
