Accountant – Taxation Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Taxation Specialist who combines strong accounting fundamentals with deep taxation knowledge. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative business environment and wants to play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and financial record management using Zoho Books.
- Handle GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Prepare and review tax filings, returns, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Monitor client and vendor payments, invoicing, and collections.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Prepare MIS reports, financial analyses, and management reports.
- Identify process improvements and help strengthen financial controls.
- Ensure complete accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions and records.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to taxation.
- Excellent knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax compliance, and statutory regulations.
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an advertising, media, digital marketing, or creative agency environment.
- CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent professional qualifications (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with financial automation tools and modern accounting workflows.
