Role Description This full-time Tax Senior – 1041 role is based in Hyderabad in a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The Tax Senior will focus primarily on U.S. fiduciary tax compliance and preparation for Form 1041, including preparation and review of tax returns for trusts and estates. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial statements and supporting schedules, performing tax research, identifying and resolving tax issues, and ensuring accurate and timely filings. The role involves collaborating with team members and U.S. counterparts, maintaining workpapers and documentation, and adhering to firm policies, procedures, and quality standards. The Tax Senior will also assist in training junior team members, contribute to process improvements, and support client service initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong tax technical skills in US Tax, with experience in fiduciary/U.S. 1041 engagements.
- Demonstrated expertise in Tax Compliance for trusts and estates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Hands-on experience in Tax Preparation & Tax Review for U.S. returns, preferably including Form 1041 and related filings.
- Ability to interpret and work with Financial Statements, supporting schedules, and related documentation.
- Solid foundation in Accounting principles and their application in tax engagements.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CPA, EA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in U.S. tax or public accounting environment, with exposure to trust and estate taxation preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and time zones.
