Tax Operations Manager

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Tax Operations Manager. You'll support the operational tax processes and controls for securities tax within our Wealth & Trading team. You will be responsible for executing on withholding and reporting obligations and performing controls across the operational tax lifecycle, with a focus on transactions taxes and controls to support the U.S. qualified intermediary regime.

Key responsibilities

• Ownership of payment and reporting obligations associated with transaction taxes and stamp duty.
• Controls on QI/QDD lifecycle, ensuring compliance across reference data, withholding, payment and reporting lifecycle
• Support withholding tax relief at source and reclaims of firm positions
• Support information reporting and associated controls related to tax product offerings

What you'll need

• Experience in securities tax operations with a financial institution.
• Good understanding and practical experience with the U.S. QI/QDD regime
• Experience with management of payment and reporting of financial transaction taxes
• Proficiency with data tooling such as SQL, Excel, BI tools, and Python
• Experience with custody environment, knowledge of settlements and corporate actions.
• Control orientated background.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent time management tracking skills.
• Experience in improving and enhancing controls and governance is a plus.
