TAX MANAGER - INDIVIDUAL TAX 1040

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on corporate, partnership, individual and trust and estate tax services.

Help determine tax service objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in communications with client management to understand the client's business and to identify possible tax solutions.

Oversee the calculation and analysis of tax strategies for clients and assist with delivering to the client.

Manage and review the preparation of corporate, partnership, or individuals, including federal, foreign, state and local tax return, estimated payments and extensions. Monitor, document and apply the tax laws for US tax return preparation.

Continue to develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities.

Provide both leadership (mentoring and coaching) and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute towards implementing them

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce or Finance or similar required. (CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) preferred. If not a CPA (US) or CA (ICAI), must meet educational requirements to obtain the same upon hire).

Minimum 7 years of experience in both Federal and States. Should have 2 to 3 years of review experience. Having experience in Form 1041 is added advantage.

Experience in CCH Axcess & Sureprep Lead sheet is preferable.

Relevant experience in understanding of HNI reporting requirements like Complex hedge funds, PTP, Multi state adjustments, forms 1098 & 1099 series & other foreign forms like FINCEN 114, FATCA, PFIC's 8621.

Excellent customer service skills and experience managing multiple client engagements. Motivated to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service

Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Highly motivated and takes initiative for professional growth and development.

Should be willing to learn other tax form per business requirement.

Ability to work overtime, as needed. Ability to travel
