All roles below support U.S.-based tax engagements for Elevate partner firms and work closely with onshore tax teams.

Work Schedule for All Roles: 3:00 PM IST – 12:00 AM IST (4:30 AM EST – 1:00 PM EST)

Tax Manager

Overview

The Tax Manager leads multiple U.S. tax engagements while managing offshore teams. This role is responsible for engagement planning, technical review of tax returns and workpapers, quality assurance, and coordination with U.S.-based clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple tax engagements from planning through finalization, including review of prior-year returns, identification of key tax considerations, and scoping of deliverables
  • Review tax returns, workpapers, and supporting schedules for accuracy and compliance with U.S. tax regulations
  • Manage engagement timelines, deliverables, and communications
  • Supervise and mentor Supervisors, Seniors, and Associates
  • Resolve complex tax issues
  • Ensure all tax documentation and workpapers meet professional and regulatory standards
  • Drive process improvements and adoption of tax tools

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Coach and develop offshore audit teams supporting U.S. engagements
  • Conduct performance evaluations and workforce planning
  • Identify training needs and uphold quality standards
  • Maintain team morale and utilization during peak periods

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of US tax experience in a public accounting firm preferred
  • CA/CPA/EA preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax regulations, including corporate, partnership, and individual taxation
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
