Tax Expert | Early-Stage Fintech Portfolio Company

One of our very early-stage AI portfolio companies building in the fintech infrastructure space in the US is looking to hire a Tax Expert to help drive product development as part of their team in India.

Responsibilities

• Translate real-world tax workflows into product improvements
• Prepare and review individual income tax returns
• Identify tax edge cases, complex scenarios, and ways to break the product
• Bring your tax preparation experience to help shape the product roadmap
• Work directly with engineers to explain tax rules and expected outcomes

Qualifications

• A keen desire to be part of the earliest part of startup journey
• CPA
• Strong understanding of U.S. federal individual income tax
• Experienced preparing individual tax returns using professional tax software such as Drake, UltraTax, CCH, Lacerte, ProSeries, or similar platforms
• Experienced reviewing tax returns, not just preparing them
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and organization skills
